Mining Lands Administration System (MLAS) Streamlines Mining Industry in 6 Months
On April 10, 2018, MLAS went live in Ontario, marking a successful milestone in the collaboration between Pacific Geotech Systems (PGTS) and the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines. The journey to MLAS’s fruition started in June 2012, when PGTS won the contract to implement one of the largest scale online mining cadastre systems in Canada, using its award-winning truePERMITTM platform. The implementation took place in two production stages throughout the first half of 2018, when MLAS seamlessly handled a substantial influx of traffic and efficiently processed numerous mining claim registrations and other transactions, all without experiencing any service interruptions or technical issues.
