Successful Completion of Business Requirements Phase for WaLLAS Project – Manitoba Water Licensing & Land Assessment System

Pacific GeoTech Systems Ltd. (PGTS) is excited to announce the successful conclusion of the detailed business requirements phase for the Water Licensing and Land Assessment System (WaLLAS) project. WaLLAS represents a significant leap forward in the management of water-related regulatory and maintenance tasks for the Government of Manitoba, offering a user-friendly, online, spatially-enabled system based on the truePERMITTM platform, which will significantly streamline the sector’s operations.

Within Manitoba Water Stewardship, the responsibility for water use, control, and drainage works licensing is paramount. WaLLAS is poised to transform this domain, supporting the sustainable allocation of surface water and groundwater for a wide range of purposes, including domestic, municipal, agricultural, industrial, irrigation, and more.

The PGTS technical team showcased the proposed platform for WaLLAS during an engaging presentation held in Winnipeg on May 22, 2015. As we move forward, expect updates on this groundbreaking project that promises to modernize water management in Manitoba.
